Periodontics
Gingivitis and periodontitis. We treat the infection destroying the bone and gum that hold your teeth in place, to stop it before it costs you those teeth.
See treatment
In Sabadell since 1991. A new chapter.
The practice Dr Xavier Pujol opened in 1991, the first in Sabadell devoted solely to gum treatment, continues under the direction of Dr Xavier Gimeno Medina. We still look after your gums, and now we also carry out the surgery that previously had to be referred elsewhere.

A real review from a periodontal patient goes here. Short, specific, and naming the treatment.
A real review about surgery goes here. What reassures most is hearing how recovery actually went.
A review from an implant patient, or from a dentist who refers cases here.
Leading the clinic
Oral and maxillofacial surgeon, licence no. 080831751 with the Barcelona Medical Association.
Unlike a dentist, a maxillofacial surgeon is a medical specialist: beyond the mouth, they treat the jaws, the temporomandibular joint and the facial region. That is why cases that until now had to be referred elsewhere are resolved here.
He combines the Sabadell practice with surgery at Hospital Universitari General de Catalunya (QuirónSalud) in Sant Cugat, and at HM Sant Jordi and Sanitas CIMA in Barcelona, giving access to an operating theatre with general anaesthesia when a case calls for it.

Dr Xavier Pujol is retiring after 35 years and leaving the clinic in the hands of Dr Xavier Gimeno Medina. The name holds both: the practice one of them built and the chapter the other one opens.
We are still a periodontal clinic. What changes is that the surgery previously referred elsewhere is now done here:
Gingivitis and periodontitis. We treat the infection destroying the bone and gum that hold your teeth in place, to stop it before it costs you those teeth.
See treatmentCheck-ups at the frequency your case calls for, not a generic schedule. Includes microbiological analysis when periodontitis resists standard treatment.
See treatmentRestoring gum where it has been lost: covering exposed roots, or correcting excess gum that hides part of the tooth.
See treatmentReplacing what periodontal disease has taken away, with a bone graft or sinus lift when there is not enough bone to anchor the implant.
See treatmentImpacted wisdom teeth, complex extractions and retained teeth, planned with a 3D scan to protect the nerve and shorten recovery.
See treatmentTMJ disorders, orthognathic surgery and oral and maxillary pathology. What previously had to be referred elsewhere is now handled by the same team.
See treatmentIn maxillofacial surgery the outcome is decided before entering the operating theatre. These are the tools used to study each case: they reduce risk, shorten the procedure and make recovery easier.
